Takeaway: We can act like Christmas is our holiday. It is filled with our traditions and our expectations, our goals. We include Jesus’ story in its defined space within our story, even a place of honor. Yet, at its core, Christmas is a disruption of our story; it resists our plans for it and overturns our goals. God confronts us in Jesus, and we cannot stay neutral. Either we must reject him outright or allow him to become the cornerstone of our lives.
