Takeaway: If all that Romans has said so far about Christians is true, then why are things in this life so painful? However much we are tempted to find glory now, God calls us to not settle. We must wait for glory with eager expectation. The present will consist not of passivity but of purposeful suffering and sacred callings. Are you more tempted to see the things of this life as meaningless or ultimate?
