Takeaway: God’s final judgment can seem like a dark and foreboding topic. Paul, however, demonstrates how it is the remedy for human judgmentalism and self-righteousness. The delay in Judgment Day, though, has resulted in spiritual confusion. For some it can give a false sense of God’s approval; to others, it can raise questions of God’s justice. How can God’s justice give us comfort in the midst of an unjust world? How does God’s kindness lead to repentance?
