Life-Giving Obligations

May 15, 2022 Speaker: Kevin Nelson Series: The Gospel of John

Passage: John 15:1-17

Takeaway:   God does not love us because we obey, but he does love us so that we will obey. Like the branch on a vine, we don’t exist for ourselves. We exist to bear good fruit for the Gardener. The Christian life, therefore, is not an end in itself; he chose us to bear fruit and to love others. In what ways do you attempt to bear fruit apart from Christ? Where are you resisting your obligation to love others?
