Not the God You’re Looking For

Takeaway: Modern people reject Christianity for many of the same reasons that ancient people rejected it. Jesus does not meet our expectations for what God should be (if there is a god). The crowds in John 6 are blinded by their own assumptions about God and therefore cannot see what was right in front of them. The good news for us is not only that God wants to be known, but also that his purpose for being known is a great blessing for us.
