The Healing Power of Reconciliation
Passage: Genesis 33:1-17
Takeaway: Attempts to reconcile are humbling, costly, awkward, and not optional. It doesn’t matter who started it. God is calling you to reach out and repair broken relationships. The power to do this, however, does not come from sheer willpower. It comes only from experiencing the grace of God in your life. This is the power that enabled Jacob to move toward his enemy and find true healing. What requirements do you put on others before you can reconcile? How do your strained relationships undermine the gospel?
