God’s Presence and Sacred Place

September 13, 2020 Speaker: Kevin Nelson Series: Genesis

Passage: Genesis 2:7-17

From the very beginning, God created a place where He would uniquely meet with man. The Garden of Eden functioned as a temple where Adam would know and relate to God. It was Adam’s priestly job to protect that place and extend its boundaries to the rest of the earth. After Adam’s failure, Christ became the place where God and man reconciled. Today, Christ is still the one who unites God and man, but He chooses to do so through the church. If we want to experience God fully, the church is the place where He can be found. How is the church’s job like Adam’s job in the Garden? How can our church community be like a living temple?
