King’s Dominion

What kind of account is Genesis 1? We often miss the good news of this passage because we are wanting it to be another type of story. The creation account is the announcement that God is king of all. He rules over and transforms every aspect of a creation that begins formless and void. Because of this, those who have this God as their Lord are assured that our story will not end in darkness or chaos. Our future is filled with triumphant light and order.
