This semester-long Sunday School class will offer you "Precious Remedies" to aid your growth in Christ by helping you identify the ways that Satan tempts, discourages, and lies to you. It will teach you to resist him with Gospel Centered solutions.

Section 1: Satan's devices to draw the soul to sin (7 weeks)

Lesson 1: By presenting the bait and hiding the hook

 

Lesson 2: By painting sin with virtue's colors

 

Lesson 3: By the extenuating and lessening of sin

 

Lesson 4: By presenting God as one made up of all mercy

 

Lesson 5: By making the soul bold to venture upon occasions to sin

 

Lesson 6: By representing the outward mercies of wicked men

 

Lesson 7: By causing saints to compare themselves with those more wicked

 

Section 2: Satan's Devices to keep saints from holy duties (5 weeks)

Lesson 8: By presenting the world in such garb to ensnare the soul

 

Lesson 9: By presenting the dangers and sacrifices of duties

 

Lesson 10: By causing saints to draw false inferences from the work of Christ

 

Lesson 11: By casting in vain thoughts while the soul is seeking God

 

Lesson 12: By tempting Christians to rest in their performances

 

Section 3: Satan's devices to keep saints in sad, doubting, and questioning conditions (7 weeks)

Lesson 13: By causing saints to remember their sin more than their savior

 

Lesson 14: By causing saints to make false definitions of their graces

 

Lesson 15: By causing saints to make false inferences from cross actings of Providence

 

Lesson 16: By suggesting to saints that their state is not good due to their loss of comfort and joy

 

Lesson 17: By reminding saints of their frequent relapses into sin

 

Lesson 18: By suggesting preparations as necessary for coming to Christ 

 

Lesson 19: By dividing them and causing them to bite and devour one another
